Payment Assistance

If you are having trouble paying your utility bill, we have some resources that may be able to help!

We understand that families and individuals who, because of unfortunate events like COVID-19 or difficulties caused by job loss, medical bills, or those simply living on a fixed income, find it impossible to pay utility bills.

As a community-owned utility, we believe that everyone should have safe, reliable electric and water service. McMinnville Water and Light (MW&L) has a Customers Helping Customers (CHC) Program that is designed to help customers overcome a temporary time of crisis by providing money to pay their utility bills.

The program is funded by donations from customers and employees, and MW&L and the City of McMinnville have offered matching funds to reach and help as many households as possible.

To apply for assistance through this program, start at the MW&L office and fill out an application. Once the application is approved at MW&L, you will need to visit St. Vincent de Paul between 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Monday through Friday, as they administer these funds on our behalf. You will find St. Vincent’s contact information along with other agencies that may be able to help listed below. You can always contact our office at (503) 472-6158 for more information.
